We research the effects of regulation on the fish industry for local and national governments and industry organisations.

We are currently advising the Irish Government on options for quota management in the Irish Whitefish fisheries.  A three-month study of the UK quota management system provided the basis of industry representations to government.

We co-ordinated a one-year study for the European Commission into the impact of the Euro on the fish industry in Europe.

Our study, for the Scottish Executive, of the economic importance of the Shetland Box, a protected fishing area north of Scotland, to the neighbouring communities was used in discussions on the future of the EU Common Fisheries Policy.
